Worship Service and Prayer Vigil to End Juvenile Sexual Exploitation

Hello! North Avenue Presbyterian Church wants to make sure that you are
aware of an exciting, 'different' kind of event happening this Saturday
night, into Sunday morning.

In response to Mayor Shirley Franklin's call for the faith community to
fight the scourge of juvenile prostitution on our downtown and midtown
streets, we are staging a worship service and prayer vigil in the middle
of the night. We'll meet at the church Saturday night at midnight then
break into groups and walk the streets, praying both silently and
corporately.

Consider taking this opportunity to tell a coworker, friend, classmate,
another parent at school, or whoever you come across. Many people in the
Atlanta community are very excited about this event, and I believe our
call to action in the streets of Atlanta makes a great way to invite
someone to a church event.

If you have questions or would like more information, please e-mail
chrisw@napc.org or call the church at (404) 875-0431. We could also use
some more ushers/greeters, so please get in touch if you would like to
help on that front.

Finally, rest assured that we will be protected both at the church and
on the streets by a mix of uniformed and plainclothes police officers.
The Mayor has personally offered some of the city's police for this
event.

So come out, and let's impact the city for justice and for Christ this
Saturday night at midnight!
