Reports from Team Leaders:

Communications Team- No communication report. ( team members not present)

Congregational Care- Janie Hicks mentioned we are working on getting members who need rides to church on Sunday morning, placed on a schedule, and teamed up with drivers who can bring them. We discussed with Roger Young any liability issues that may arise. Scott Weimer, and Hal Gersch brought up the possibility of trading in our 25 passenger bus which requires a CDL license to drive, for another 15 passenger bus like the other one we currently have. We will ask the property team, and Gene Wooldridge, and Roger Young to explore this possibility.

Connections Ministry- Hal mentioned that Carol Kleywegt and the Connections team members attended the new members class, and lunchen, and are working on getting those members placed in the ministry groups they expressed interest in.

Neighbor-Net- Barbara Chandler mentioned that they are re-working that group, and will soon have available to the congregation, through our church website, or bulletin, information on the individual groups, and their locations.

Property Resources- Carlisle Young discussed lighting up the windows on Peachtree and North Avenue, in an attempt to give our sanctuary a more alive and welcoming presence on our corner. We are in conversation with an architect and stain glass professionals to see if the plan we are considering is the best option available. He also announced the next workday as Saturday, June 21st, when we hope to work with Marti Jackson, building bleachers for a new 1st floor classroom, and other projects around the church. He asked that we seek out other groups within the church to partner up with, as this seems to improve the workday turnout.

Finance Team- Arnold Johns presented our April results. We are significantly under budget for the month, and there is a concern for the spending verses receipts for world missions. Scott reminded us that April being a 4 Sunday month and Easter falling in March this year rather than April made a significant difference in our receipts.

After discussion of a few other general topic issues, Susan Bennett closed us in prayer, and we headed to dinner.

Our next meeting will be Monday June 9th at 5:30 P.M.
