Topics for February 19
Witnessing in the 10/40 window
Chuck Phillps leads the ministry “10/40
Café” which primarily focuses on the
mobilization of college students and
adults for mission service. Participants
in the ministry are provided with
mentoring, training, and direct mission
experience within the U.S. and overseas.
Some participants go on to work in
10/40 window countries, while others
live out mission lifestyles in the U.S.
Chuck has served on staff at North
Point Community Church and is a
teacher of the “Perspectives on World
Missions” course.
Witnessing in post Christian America
Our American culture is changing.
There are many people in the U.S. that
have never attended church nor have a
accurate concept of Jesus Christ. The
traditional church culture is often a
barrier to these unchurched people. Troy
Bronsink, among other young church
leaders of several denominations, is
attempting to re-think church so that it
is relevant to today’s culture and faithful
to the truth found in scripture. This
attempt to re-think the church is called
the “emerging church.” Troy is pastor of
an emerging church here in Atlanta.
