From My Heart to Yours--Welcome our new Youth Ministry Coordinator

I am very happy to announce that the Personnel Ministry Team, upon recommendation of the Youth Ministry Team, has extended a call to Ms. Jessica Dart to serve as NAPC’s next Coordinator of Youth Ministry. Jessica has accepted the call and will begin her ministry on Monday, August 20. Jessica graduated from Georgia Tech with a B.S. in Applied Psychology and from the Emmanuel School of Religion in Johnson City, Tenn. She was the valedictorian of Glynn Academy High School in Brunswick, Ga. For the past four years, Jessica has served as the Minister to Youth at the First Baptist Church on St. Simons Island, a church that has relationships with both the Southern Baptist Convention and the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Jessica has long admired the Presbyterian Church and feels that her personal faith development and her theological beliefs are in harmony with the beliefs and ethos of NAPC. In her ministry at St. Simons, Jessica implemented a holistic youth program that promoted physical, spiritual, intellectual, and social growth and maturity among the youth of the church.

In interviews with Jessica, the Youth Ministry Team was impressed with Jessica’s depth of commitment to ministry with youth, her ability to relate to both male and female youth, her history of creating an effective team of youth leaders, and especially her own personal devotion to Christ and his ministry of discipleship. Please keep Jessica in your prayers as she makes the transition to Atlanta and begins her ministry among us.

Grace and peace,
Scott
