Dear Pastor and North Avenue Church Family,
Two years ago North Avenue welcomed the Oswald Family into its fellowship with warmth and hospitality. Since that time we have felt genuinely cared for with grace and love. North Avenue has not only been a place for us to minister and serve, but also a place of community and Christian fellowship.
After receiving such love and support in ministry, it is difficult to believe our journey in life and work is taking us in a new direction. Only out of much prayer and discussion could we truly accept what is before us as a gift and wonderful opportunity for our future. As a family we thank you and encourage you to continue in the work to which God has called you, and doing so in the spirit which you have so affectionately shared with us.
This fall I will matriculate into the Ph.D. program at the University of Edinburgh, in Edinburgh, Scotland. For all of us, Rachael, Emerson, Ward, and me, this is a great step in faith. We humbly and sincerely ask for your prayers as we move our family so far away from grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We ask that you would especially pray for our safety in travel, and that we may settle down comfortably in a new home.
Many thanks,
Blessings,
Trey, Rachael, Emerson, and Ward Oswald
