Team,
Last year, we received some feedback that the length of the Stewardship Emphasis Season (5 weeks) might be too long. One response would be to shorten the length of the emphasis season, possibly to four weeks. Does this allow enough time to communicate the key themes? How will this be received by the congregation? Do we lose anything by shortening the duration?
Please post responses in this discussion thread.

General Consensus - 4 Week Length
It seems that there is no strong objection to having a four-week Stewardship emphasis. I like Bob Estes' idea of starting early with a slow build to this, but we will only have four "formal" weeks of Stewardship Emphasis.
Now, for the themes...Chris has chimed in with a couple of Bible passages for us to consider. What is everyone thinking?
I, for myself, like the idea of having a "theme"/slogan that may even have a cultural tie-in, but feel we need to have a Bible passage that it's tied in closely with. I had to refresh myself on the Dylan song that was proposed, and it might not work 100% well for us...but that's not to say we can't simply use "Who will you serve" without a song tie-in.
Let's get some discussion going in the Stewardship forum on the Community site before our next meeting.
